General: 2026-03-23 in Bolle di MagadinoGeneral: Today I did my own outing to Bolle di Magadino... The birdsong is amazing, though taking photographs is very difficult. I heard the Seidensaenger again, rare in Switzerland but often heard here. Vogelwarte.ch says 'Bestand (2013-2016), 0-2 Paare, Status (in CH), Seltener Durchzügler' - but I think that needs to be updated. MerlinBirdId reported a Fischadler, which are xx in English, and I have photos from Florida. At ornitho.ch someone reported one being chased away by a cornacchia - a carrion crow. I can believe that, they chase everything that could be a threat to their young. Heard lots of Eurasian wrynecks, but never saw them - no surprise as they look exactly like tree bark!
