To celebrate reaching the same age my Dad did - 69 years and 3 months - I organized my Billfest on May 30, 2026, and rewrote the lyrics
to Iggy Pop's Lust for Life, and practiced it here with the band playing at the fest, SmaX.
(Marc in the lyrics is Marc Belser, my next door neighbor 20 years ago, who is how I got to know his band SmaX.)
And I sang it at my Billfest on May 30, so here's a video of it. It turned out pretty much as I wanted it!
And here's the original that we copied. I love how little I had to change the lyrics to tell my story. Decided not to perform half-naked though!
